About me
Hi, I'm Theresa
I know artists find their creative voice at different stages in life. I knew from a very young age that my ability to draw and execute my ideas in an artistic manner was my gift. It was unique to me and no one could take it away. A pencil and a piece of paper and I was so happy!
I took art classes in high school, went on to get a degree in commercial art (because that is the practical thing to do when you're an artist and want to earn a living) worked in publishing, an in house art department, lots of free lance work and all along the way creating silly drawings for friends, designing wedding invitations and painting murals in my own home. The mural painting caught the attention of friends and neighbors and I was soon happily in business painting indoor murals and furniture!
A decade or so ago, while thankful for how far my natural abilities and sheer grit had taken me, I knew I could do better. I started attending artist retreats, learning new painting techniques, faux finishing and came to the realization that I just wanted to paint pictures!
So I learned how to paint better and started calling myself an artist!
Besides being an artist, I am also a mom, wife and mimi. I live in Minnesota, love to travel taking lots of photos along the way that are the inspiration for every painting I create.
